What is a Float Lieutenant?
Lieutenant is a dedicated member that takes
the full responsibility of their Float. They
are to fill the mandatory spots required on
the float, attend all meetings and functions
sponsored by the Krewe. They are required to
follow all rules set by the Captain, Board
of Directors and the city of New Orleans.
Float Lieutenants are under the command of
the Chief Lieutenant.
What is a Float Sergeant?
Sergeant is assigned by the Float
Lieutenant. They must fill in for the
Lieutenant when they are unable to attend
meetings and other Krewe functions. They
also assist the lieutenant’s with their
What is the age limit to be a member?
minimum age is 18 years old (16 when
accompanied by a legal guardian who is also
a paid member )
How can I become King or Queen?

How long should I plan my stay in New
Orleans if I am from out of town?
Most of our
out of state members arrive on a Thursday
to the parade day on Friday. This allows
them time to participate pre parade
What are “Throws” & how much should I buy?
items such as beads, cups, doubloons, plush
toys and trinkets. We offer many specialized
throws and souvenirs. Each person is
different when it comes to buying throws.
Things to consider are what you want to
throw, how large will the crowds be and how
fast you throw. The crowds are usually huge
& overwhelming. Beads are sold by the dozen,
varies sizes, length and styles. Ranging
lengths are from 33” to 100”. On average, a
member will have at least 240 dozen of 33”
and 48” beads to throw. Cups are popular as
well as doubloons. Doubloons are highly
collectable and are in demand on the route.
You have to have something for the children
and that’s where the plush and other
trinkets come into play. If all this is
confusing, don’t worry as we have many bead
packages to choose from and best of all they
can be delivered and placed in your spot for

opportunities to purchase products through
our shopping cart.
Does everyone have to wear a Mask and
Costume the entire time?
Yes , Everyone
must wear their Mask & Costume at all times
or face fines and ejection from parade. As
stated in the New Orleans Code of Ordinances
Part II-code Chapter 34 – Carnival, Mardi
Gras Sec.34-17.Riders (a)(b) .We follow
strict guidelines and enforce all rules of
those in violation .
I have a group of people that want to ride,
can we be placed together?
everyone has submitted their application &
payment, contact us with your request. We
work very hard to honor all request.
How long is the parade route and how long
does it last?
route is approximately 5 miles. We offer a
full day of festivities kicking off with the
Morpheus Bash at approx. 2:00 P.M. until
5:00 P.M. Our parade start time is 7:00 P.M.
You can expect to be on the route for at
least 3 hours which is from the time you
leave the staging area to disbanding area.

Do you have Mardi Gras Ball?
The Mardi Ball
and Pre-Party activities have been combined
to form the "Morpheus Bash". Now all members
can experience the essence of the Masquerade
Ball with the camaraderie of the pre-party
as part of their membership.
Can I advertise on the floats or throw
advertised items from the float?
NO, neither is
allowed nor tolerated. As stated in the New
Orleans Code of Ordinances Part II-code
Chapter 34 – Carnival, Mardi Gras Sec. 34-7
